Easy Returns

Hassle Free Returns.

Didn't like it? Wrong size? Not what you expected?

If you've any queries you can contact our team during office hours.

To return an item to us, download a returns form using the button above.

Return Policy

Returns for something you didn't like, or didn't fit etc are returned at your own cost. We're a little bike shop in the Yorkshire Dales and are unable to offer free returns.

The Return Policy below applies to standard returns bought online only. We have a separate returns policy for items bought in-store.

If there is a problem with an item you have received or if you believe a product has developed a fault, please get in touch with our Customer Service Team in the first instance and we'll decide on the best course of action from there.

Whatever the reason for the return, we are unable to arrange a collection or send a shipping label. However, if you are returning a faulty item under warranty we will refund you for your return shipping costs.

Important: If you have bought a bike from us online, any warranty issues will be dealt with on an RTB (return to base) basis. This means you will need to get the bike to us for inspection should the need arise and will be liable for any transport costs. If you are unable or unwilling to do this and need to take it to a bike shop more local to yourself - you will be liable for any costs and/or repairs charged by that bike shop.

Online Return Policy

We have a separate returns policy for items purchased in-store. This is available to view at the checkout.

If you receive an order and find you have changed your mind or the item just isn’t right for you, don’t worry. Goods can be returned for a refund within 14 days from the date of purchase (subject to the product exclusions outlined below).

Unwanted items are returned at your own cost.

If you need a different size - just order the correct size from our website and we'll refund you for the original item you purchased when it arrives back with us.

Goods must be returned in an unused, re-saleable condition, with their original packaging, and all labels still attached. They should also be securely packaged in a sealed box, to ensure the contents are protected during transit. Our Returns Team will review all items to ensure they meet the criteria outlined in this Returns Policy. If an item is returned outside of our Returns Policy, we may be unable to process a full refund. We will contact you in such circumstances.

All refunds will be issued to the original payment method on the order within 14 days of receipt at our warehouse. Once the refund has been processed by us it can take 3-5 working days depending on your payment provider.

Product Exclusions

There are some exclusions to our Returns Policy, as detailed below:

  • Nutritional products or those with a best before date cannot be returned.
  • Personalised or customised items, such as wheel builds, cannot be returned.
  • GPS systems, such as sports watches or cycle computers, can only be returned if unregistered.
  • For hygiene reasons, any intimate garments, such as padded shorts, underwear and swimsuits, cannot be returned.
  • Gift vouchers cannot be returned.

Please note, 3 Peaks Cycles reserve the right to refuse a return if we believe the purpose was for stock trading/reselling and not personal use.

Bikes

If you wish to return a bike that just isn't for you then it must reach us in a brand new re-saleable condition. If the bike has not been in stock at our store and ordered for you specially it will be subject to a 20% re-stocking fee.
If you have ridden it a few times (especially with ebikes as the mileage will go up) then we may not be able to offer a full refund.
This will be assessed on a case by case basis. You are also responsible for the return shipping and any damage that may happen in transit.
We strongly suggest trying any bike first instead of just buying blind online.

This Return Policy does not affect your statutory rights.

Bike Issues & Warranty

If you have bought a bike from us and it develops any issues that may be covered by warranty - the bike will need to be returned to us in order for us to effect the warranty. This is at your own cost and will need to be facilitated by yourself.

We always recommend taking the bike to your local bike shop although we are not liable for any extra costs incurred by doing this.

Phoebe Smith returns with more great outdoor experiences tailored not just for the hard-core wilderness enthusiast but for novices and newbie hillwalkers alike.

Take a friend, or take the kids - or both! - and climb one of Phoebe's favourite hills.

There are 60 of them detailed in this easy-to-follow guide which champions a new easy-access approach to hillwalking. With 20 hills each in England, Wales and Scotland, from just 120 metres to a manageable 609 metres, and from Cornwall to the Scottish Highlands, there's bound to be a hill for you. 'When it comes to mountains society seems to be obsessed with height' says Phoebe Smith.

'But those who shun peaks based on measurement are truly missing out. Following on from the success of Wilderness Weekends, people are always asking me where they can take a friend, partner or young child that will help convince them that the outdoors - and hills - are worth the effort.

Answering that need is this book, it's all about minimum effort for maximum results.' Each walk also includes tips on safety, kit, weather, walking responsibly, maps, tackling hills sensibly, and taking children, friends and reluctant walkers. For some walks there's also 'Added Adventure' - caves, ruins or a background story for example. Britain is home to hundreds of hills, neglected because they don't quite measure up, so here we showcase 60 of the very best.

'Who wouldn't want to experience some of the best views in Britain for minimal effort?' asks Phoebe Smith. 'Don't believe us? Walk this way!'

With Britain's Best Small Hills, discover not only where to walk, but also curious facts and places, such as one of the best small hills with a cafe at the top, the hill where Captain Cook became inspired to travel, the only Wainwright the man himself couldn't summit, and the Welsh peaks where the rocks that form Stonehenge come from.

Phoebe Smith knows good mountains. For over 10 years she's been exploring Britain's extensively and has written about them in a range of magazines and newspapers in the UK, USA, Canada and Australia as well as being the author of 7 books - all on the British wilderness and the joys of camping.

In addition to writing Phoebe has frequently appeared on radio and TV talking wild camping, travel and women in the outdoors. In 2014 she became the first woman to camp at all the extreme points of mainland Britain on consecutive nights - these included the highest, lowest, northernmost, southernmost, easternmost and westernmost points of the country, also becoming the first person to include the centre of Britain in her quest.

In 2015 and 2016 she was shortlisted for the National Adventure Awards in the Inspiring Others category. In 2016 she was named an Ordnance Survey #GetOutside Champion for her work encouraging everyone to have adventures in the UK.
