It’s no coincidence that coffee, cycling and café all begin with the same letter. An ideal combination that not only demonstrates awesome alliteration but a rightly popular concept of the cycling café.
It’s been a “journey” – possibly not as long as the one you’ve just been on – borne out of a desire to match twin passions for cycling and coffee.
We serve cyclists, coffee aficionados, customers requiring a service, friends (old and new), lovers of good design, those sheltering from the sun (or perhaps rain), patient partners who wait whilst their other half browses…
Our food and drink is sourced from local companies who are passionate about what they do. Our coffee is roasted by artisan roasters who like nothing better than supplying top class establishments with custom blended beans. Our bread is baked by the 2017 winner of the best loaf in Britain. We make most of our own cakes and tray bakes, including gluten free offerings for those who need them (although they are tasty enough for anyone). Our eggs come from a farm just over the border in West Yorkshire. Our bacon is supplied and sweet dry-cured by a local mountain biker.
If you want more traditional cycling fare then any manner of sandwiches, toasted or otherwise alongside our signature offering of avocado, poached egg and dry cured bacon on sourdough should fill you up ready for the next stage of your journey.
If you time it right, watch the major stage races live on our telly. If they aren’t on, we have various videos showing all the time.
Many people tell us we make the best coffee in town. We couldn’t possibly comment.
